DESCENDANTS OF JOHANNES SCHNAUBER THE FIRST GENERATION TO APPEAR IN AMERICA The information written below is not necessarily proven. In an effort
to give myself some basis for research of the Hillpot family a good deal of the Schnauber
family was taken from the Internet and various sources including the Windemuth Family
Records and the Johannes Schnauber Family records. In an effort to locate the marriages of
the children of George Adam Hillpot the immigrant I feel this information would be helpful
in proving some of the birth, marriage and death dates as well as locations. Some of this
information can be found in the early German pioneer records and various other sources. In
the future I will confirm as much as I can, however at this time the effort shall be
confirm my beliefs that they are tied to the Hillpot Family. I have acquired a substantial
amount of information at this time (1999) to be sure that the Hillpot link is fact. At
this time I have no reason to install future generations of the Schnauber family 1. JOHANNES SCHNAUBER was born ca.1701 in Pfungstadt, Hesse Germany, died February 16, 1774 Stillwater, Sussex County New Jersey. The next from Eighteenth Century Emigrants from Pfungstadt by Annette Burgert. The first of five children born of Joh. Christoph Windermuth, tailor, son of Joh. Windermuth, citizen and master cartwright at Allendorf an der Weeg, who married January 4, 1702 Maria Margaretha Kleppinger, daughter of Johann Kleppingeri. Anna Elizabeth was born January 9, 1703, baptized January 12, 1703: sponsor was Anna Elizabetha NN. Johannes Schnauber, master miller and Anna Elizabeth had children. From the Windemuth Family Records: Anna Elizabeth Windemuth, the daughter of Johan Christoph Windemuth and Mary Marguerite Kleppenger was born January 9, 1703, in Rhenish Bavaria Germany married Johannes Schnauber in 1722, most likely at Pfungstadt, Hesse Germany. Anna died in 1768 and was buried in the Cemetery of the old Stillwater Presbyterian Church, formerly the old Hardwick Cemetery in Stillwater New Jersey. (I believe the church was the Reformed Lutheran Church of Hardwick) Johanes Schnauber was born in Phundstadt in 1701, died February 16, 1774, at Stillwater he is buried next to his wife. They came together to America, through Philadelphia, on September 26, 1737, aboard the ship St. Andrew Galley. Johannes and his eldest son John Heinrick were naturalized in 1764 They had seven children. Johannes Will was dated May 26, 1770 and four of his children were listed. In the Will. George Wintermute was the executor. The Will was recorded in Liber 17 page 96 (new Jersey Archives Calendar of Wills 1771-1780 in Trenton, N.J. The Will was proven March 5, 1774 at Burlington N.J. which at that time was the county seat for western N.J. 11? I kept this here even though not sure if there are any records other than which was received on a persons file. New information from the Windemuth Family was She was educated at St. Augustus Lutheran Church, Trappe, Pa in 1742 and she died after May 1770. She is listed in her fathers Will as/ T. Myers. No issue shown. 12 JOHAN HEINRICK "HENRY" SNOVER Born September 28, 1724,
Phungstadt, Hesse, Germany. He died January 12, 1799 and is Buried Old Hardwick Cemetery,
Stillwater, New Jersey. Johan married Anna Mary Hillbartin (Hillpot) October 16, or 29,
1750 see Trappe, Pa. By Reverend Johan Casoer Stover in Minisink New Jersey, probably the
Stillwater area on the Internet found he died January 12, 1799 but where and what happened
to Anna. In the Windemuth Family records it shows she was born 1724(I wonder where they
got this info from if it is true she would have been born in Germany since I show in the
Hillpot Family History she was confirmed the day after Easter in 1746. This makes her 89
years old, sounds unlikely but not impossible ) and died September 22, 1813. Her place of
death is shown as Knowlton, Sussex County New Jersey. Where is this?? (It seems odd to me
that the families doing the research did not even try to put the Hillpot name in here I
suspect they are waiting for someone to do it for them) 121 Jacob Snover no further information 122 John Henry 123 Mary Philibeena 124 Anna Maria 125 George Johan 126 Frederick 13 ANNA ELIZABETH Born May 16, 1727 in Phungstadt Germany married

Family shows her Death date as after May 26, 1770 and her residence as St. Augustus
Lutheran Church in Trappe, Pa. June 18, 1757. Tom Myers located this date as the date of
her confirmation at Trappe at age 16 ½ years of age. (Since they put her death in after
her fathers Will it she was alive at the time of her father's demise. I believe with a
great deal of certantity she married George Adam Hillpot in Tinicm Twp. Bucks County Pa.
