I can not find ANYTHING on my grandmother's father whose name was Henry Jacob Earnest b. 1857? in Missouri. he is said to have been half indian, but we have no idea what tribe. His father was supposedly white and fought in the civil war, but we don't know his name. Does ANY of this sound familiar to you?

Anyone have similar information for Montgomery County PA? I am the Activity Director at Parkhouse, the county long-term care center that started out at the Almshouse in 1808. We have a potters' field with very little information about it, and would like to learn more. Thanks!

I was told as a boy by my grandmother
(Rhea Ernest)the story of one of our ancestors Indian Eve Ernest of Bedford county.Pa
I found the story absolutely incredible.
Regardless of the fact her name may or may
not have been Hillpot,Indian Eve stands out as one of america's most remarkable woman.
