The 1860 Census which was provided to me from Jewell Mundell shows a Mary on Page 103 New Brunswick at age 5, this would be incorrect by 1 year but still possible. She the child of Henry age 50 a canal worker and his wife Elizabeth age 32. An interesting not here is another daughter age 5 Francas, and a daughter age 3 Emma is shown. Could Emma be the wife of # 3443?. They had five children. Jacob married second Sarah Elizabeth Swift. Sarah was born in Delaware April 4, 1867, the daughter of James Swift and Ann Harper both of England. She died at Muehlenberg hospital Plainfield N.J. a widow. Undertaker Pettit funeral home. N.J. records. (Just for further information purposes the family claims that Emma Jinks had a brother Frank who was born November 1858 he claims in the Dallas 1900 census to have been born in New Jersey and both his parents born in Germany) Emma died September 24, 1909 Oakland Cemetery Dallas Texas. John died March 7, 1895 Oakland Cemetery Dallas Texas. ( 1900 census provided by Jewell Mundell shows on reel 1626 in Dallas Emma head of household had 3 children all living was born in New Jersey, however both parents are born in Germany) I am sure now that Emma is definitely not the sister of Mary Elizabeth Jahnke the age is 3 years off and data just shows no plausible way. They had three children. The 1880 census shows John living with parents and family at age 16 he tends stock. In 1882 - 1884 John is shown as a tenant living in New Hope and is employed as a laborer and a blacksmith, in 1885 John is now absent from the New Hope taxes
