Approximately fifty percent of the persons whose burials took place in the Doylestown Cemetery during the past year, according to the records on file in the offices of the Doylestown Cemetery Company, were residents of the County Seat at the time of their death. Records revealed that during the past year eighty-one persons were buried in the cemetery in Doylestown and of these 81 persons forty of them lived in Doylestown. Fifteen of the persons buried in the cemetery here during the past year were residents of Phila. at the time of their death. Three of them had lived in other states, one being a resident of Brooklyn, N. Y., another having lived in Frenchtown, N. J., and a third in Atlantic City, N. J. Two of the persons buried here were former residents of Perkasie. One other person, a former resident of Wilkes-Barre, was buried here also. A survey of the list shows that the oldest person buried here had attained the age of 95 years. This was a former resident of Phila., whose burial took place last January. A number of the other buried here had attained ages beyond the four score mark. The greatest number of burials took place during December, 12 having been made during that month. Only two interments were made during September. It is shown in the list that six were made during January, four during February, 10 in March, eight in April, five in May, three in June, six in July, eleven in August, five in October and ten in November.
